Don’t ban flavoured e-liquids for e-cigarettes

The possible bill on a vaping ban on e-liquid flavours that the government are proposing will have severe consequences, not only on the UK vaping industry itself but on peoples health who have made the transition from smoking cigarettes to vaping. Working within the industry for a number of years, we have helped probably many, many thousands of people who were smoking conventional tobacco products for many, many years, assisting them in their journey towards a healthier alternative and who wish to reduce the bodily harm caused by smoking cigarettes.
In our opinion "and we probably speak for many others", the control of all vaping products should remain a specialised product and should only be allowed for retail by licensed vape retailers, who have professional knowledge of all the products and understand what consumer adults require and carefully advise them if they choose and wish to vape.
If a flavour ban policy is implemented going forwards, then it is likely that there will be a large amount of uncontrolled nicotine consumables products that would not be TPD regulated and would therefore probably thrive into a growing black market if a proposed flavour ban becomes an active policy. There are an estimated four or five million vapers within the UK population alone, many of who could revert back to cigarettes putting more strain on our NHS, of who also realise and understand that vaping has and is contributing towards the decline of smoking conventional cigarettes.
